Cork County going strong in LCU Division 2

Victory over Balbriggan 1 at the Mardyke has consolidated Cork County’s position in the LCU Division 2 league table and continued County’s excellent unbeaten run in league competition in 2014. Malahide are the only other team in Division 2 who also remain unbeaten and County have played one game fewer which means the meeting of the two sides in Malahide on Saturday 28th of June is sure to be a cracker.

Dublin University sit top of Division 2 currently, however in reality this position is a false one as their league campaign has now finished(matches against DU carry double points). Despite there being a significant portion of the season remaining, Cork County appear to be in a very strong position, a position they will look to both maintain and improve as the season progresses.
