The 2024 season promises to be a historic one, filled with exciting events on and off the field. Join us as the club embarks on a historic journey to commemorate 150 years of cricketing heritage and community spirit at the Mardyke since its inception in 1874.

The club has got activities planned for everyone – players, families, and cricket enthusiasts alike. Here’s a glimpse of the exciting events we have planned for the first half of our anniversary season:

April: Gearing Up for the Season

  • Outdoor training is back! (Every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from April 4th) – Dust off your pads and get ready for the season with our regular training sessions.
  • President’s Night (Friday, April 5th, 19:30) – A fun-filled evening at the clubhouse for all our members – youth, adults, and families!
  • Club Clean-Up Day (Saturday, April 20th) – Lend a hand and help spruce up our beloved ground. We hope SportsHub joins us too!
  • Season Opener Matches (Saturday, April 20th) – Cheer on our teams as they kick off the season! Cork County 2s take on County Kerry 2s at the Mardyke, while Cork County 4s face off against Limerick CC 4s at Adare.
  • Civic Reception (Monday, April 29th) – A distinguished ceremony for select invitees at City Hall hosted by the Lord Mayor Cllr. Kieran McCarthy.

May: Celebrating Cricket and Community

  • International Culture Night (Sunday, May 5th) – Celebrate the diverse heritage of our club with an evening of food, music, and fun for all ages! (Open to youth, adults, and families)
  • Irish Senior Cup Match (Saturday, May 18th) – Witness top-tier cricket as the Cork County 1st XI take on Balbriggan CC in the 1st round of the Irish Senior Cup.

June: A Memorable Match at the Mardyke
