The Last Round film premiere – Friday, 18th January

Tuesday, January 15th, 2013

The locally produced film, The Last Round, will premiere at the Mardyke on Friday, 18th January, starting at 8.00 p.m.

The Last Round tells the story of a retired boxer forced to make a comeback for the sake of his daughter. It’s a dark comedy with a fascinating twist at the end featuring Killnascully’s Pascal Scott, Michael Nagle and Tony Hegarty; and introducing Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan (Current W.B.A. Middleweight Champion of the World).

Written and directed by Conor Dwane and produced by Stone Mad Productions, the film was shot at various locations around Cork including the Loughmahon Boxing Club, our very own Cork County Cricket Club and Cronin’s pub in Crosshaven.

The full cast and crew will be in attendance along with some other local short film-makers who will also be showing their films on the night.

The film premiere is open to the general public with Club members welcome to attend.
