Safe ‘Return to Training’ – Protocols and Procedures

Tuesday, June 9th, 2020

Following the release of the Cricket Ireland guidelines around the ‘Return to Training’ protocols, the club has been working diligently to ensure that we meet all the requisite levels of preparedness and safety.

This has included the preparation of a Risk Assessment which has been submitted to Munster Cricket and the creation of a Covid-19 sub-committee which comprises of Kieran Aherne, Andy Wootton, Abdul Jabbar Younus, Robert Duggan, Pat Donnelly, Steve Ross, Matt Reed and Kevin O’Sullivan.

Clubhouse to reopen following Storm Frank flooding

Tuesday, January 5th, 2016

The clubhouse and Club Bar will reopen on Tuesday, 5th January, having been inaccessible for the past week or so due to flooding of the outfield and the entrance pathway following Storm Frank. Luckily, there has not been any damage to the Pavilion itself. Hopefully, the weather will now start to improve and the threat of further flooding and disruption will subside.

As a result of this closure, we have lost significant bar and function revenue which has put a major strain on our cash flow as we head into the quietest time of the year for bar and function business. To help deal with this, I would ask any member who is in a position to do so to pay their 2016 subscription as soon as possible which would greatly help us pay our way over the next few weeks.

Subscriptions for 2016 remain as follows:

  • €275 for full adult playing members; and
  • €75 for Students & Pavilion members.

Payments can be left with the bar staff in the Pavilion for my attention and cheques can be posted to me at 6 Willow Court, Cross Douglas Road , Cork.
