International cricket returns to the Mardyke at the end of July when Ireland’s U17’s take on their Dutch counterparts on 28th, 29th and 30th July at the Richard Beamish Cricket Grounds in Cork. The matches form part of the U17 ICC Europe Challenge Series which also sees matches against Scotland in August.
The first two fixtures which are scheduled to take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, 28th & 29th July, will be 50 overs aside while the final game of the Series on 30th July will be in the T20 format. All matches start at 11am and will be played in coloured clothing using white cricket balls.
This will be the second visit by Netherlands U17 to the Mardyke as they played Ireland in a similar series of games in July 2013. These games provide Munster cricket supporters with the opportunity to see the next generation of Irish players in action and we hope that large numbers will be able to come along to watch the games and support the Irish side.
